About the client
Naturalia is a retail chain in Kazakhstan with advertising screens across stores: promos, menus, and seasonal content must update centrally - not via USB sticks at each location.
They needed a working digital signage CMS: one portal for marketing and ops, mobile access, security, and on-prem deployment in KZ - not another generic website.
The challenge we started with
- Screen content was updated manually store by store - promotions were late, versions diverged
- A single account for the network was needed, not a zoo of local players and flash drives
- Security requirements: roles, 2FA, data and deployment inside the client's perimeter (KZ)
- Integration with the existing store environment without "breaking what works"
Single content account
A web portal for marketing and operations: playlists, media files, display schedules, linking content to screen groups and specific stores. One edit - an update across the whole network or selectively by region/store.
Screen management and settings
A registry of screens across the network: status, store assignment, display parameters, firmware/player versions. The administrator sees where content has not arrived and can restart playback without visiting the store.
Roles, 2FA and mobile work
A role model: administrator, content editor, store operator. Two-factor authentication for account access. The interface is adapted for mobile - you can approve a promotion or check a screen's status from a phone.
On-prem in Kazakhstan and store integration
We deployed the system on the client's servers - without a mandatory foreign cloud. We set up integration with the store environment: synchronization of reference data/promotions via an agreed API, so that screen content matches the network's current data.
Team training
We trained the Naturalia team: content publishing scenarios, working with roles, typical incidents (screen offline, playlist rollback). We handed over the procedures so marketing can operate without constant developer involvement.
How it works
User scenario
- Marketing uploads a video or banner and assigns a schedule across the network or a group of stores
- Screens in stores receive the update on schedule - no USB drives or local edits
- A store operator checks from a phone that the screen is live and showing the right playlist
Team / admin scenario
- The CMS stores media, playlists and schedules; players on the screens pull content via API
- Roles and 2FA limit who can publish and change screen settings
- Monitoring of screen statuses and publication logs - for network support

Frequently asked questions
Questions about this type of project, the same ones clients ask before a similar build.
Why not use amoCRM or Bitrix24 off the shelf?
If the boxed product covers your process, we keep it and extend it. Custom CRM development makes sense when the template breaks your sales: your own stages, a complex client cabinet, reports, a tight link with 1C. A common setup is a boxed CRM for sales plus a custom module next to it.
How do we move off Excel without stopping work?
In stages. First a new setup for one or two roles while Excel keeps running. We migrate statuses and reference data, reconcile, train people — and only then switch the spreadsheets off.
Will you rework our 1C configuration?
No. By default we build an external API exchange with an error log and mismatch checks — not “manual exports once a week”. Changes inside a standard 1C configuration happen only under a separate spec, together with your 1C partner if needed.
Who owns the code, and what if our processes change?
The code and infrastructure stay with you. New processes come in as modules: each is estimated separately, with acceptance criteria agreed before coding.
