License plate recognition software for gates

Every vehicle at the gate with plate, trip and time

A camera at the gate or the weighbridge reads the plate, the system finds the pass and the trip, opens the visit and closes it on exit. The guard stops copying plates by hand, and logistics sees where each truck is and how long it has been on site.

What happens at the gate today

  • The guard writes plates into a notebook while a truck waits at the gate for 40 minutes as he calls the warehouse to check it is expected.
  • The trip is in the ERP, but not in the security log. Or the other way round. Accounting reconciles it by hand at month end.
  • The driver says he arrived at 8 am, but was unloaded at lunchtime. There is no way to check: the camera records, but nobody will dig through the archive.
  • Company vehicles leave the yard at weekends. Who and why gets worked out later from mileage and fuel receipts.

What changes after launch

  • 01Entries and exits log themselves, with plate and frame
  • 02You see how long each vehicle stayed on site
  • 03Each arrival is tied to a pass, a trip or a weighing

How the system works

  1. 01

We study your gates and footage

Camera angles at the gate and the weighbridge, night lighting, typical plates: trucks, trailers, regional, muddy in winter. We test the model on your recordings before promising anything.

  2. 02

    The camera reads the plate

The detector finds the vehicle and the plate in the frame, reads the characters and saves the frame. A low-confidence read is flagged for review, not stored as fact.

  3. 03

    Matched with passes and trips

The plate is checked against the pass list, entry requests and trips in your ERP (1C) or WMS. A vehicle without a pass or off schedule triggers an alert to security and dispatch at once.

  4. 04

    Time on site is tracked

Entry opens a visit, weighing and exit close it. You see who stays longer than usual and where a truck is waiting: at the gate, at the scale or at loading.

  5. 05

    Your own fleet is counted

A separate list for company vehicles: when each left, when it came back, how many runs per shift. A departure outside the schedule is marked in the log.

  6. 06

    Data goes to your systems

Events with plate, time and frame go to your ERP, WMS, pass system or a simple log searchable by plate. A dispute with a carrier is settled with a frame, not with words.

Which scale is yours?

One task, three different projects. Pick the one that looks like you and press “I want this” — your request arrives tagged, and we send an estimate in 1–2 days.

Small business

common start

One gate or weighbridge, dozens of vehicles a day, and the guard can either write plates down or watch the road.

What we build

  • 1–2 cameras at entry and exit
  • Plate recognition and a visit log with frames
  • Allowed vehicle list and alerts about unknown ones
  • Model tested on your footage before launch
Integrations
Event log searchable by plate, Telegram alerts, Excel export
Where it runs
Edge box on site: video never leaves the premises
Timeline
Guideline: 4–6 weeks to the first working version

Mid-size business

common start

Several gates, a weighbridge and a warehouse, trips kept in the ERP or WMS, and security data never matches them.

What we build

  • All gates and the weighbridge in one log
  • Plates matched with passes, requests and trips
  • Time on site and waiting time by area
  • Security console: event queue and uncertain reads
  • Support contract: we retrain the model for new angles and seasons
Integrations
ERP (1C), WMS, pass system, weighbridge software, barriers via your access control
Where it runs
Server on site or in your server room
Timeline
Guideline: 2–3 months to the first working version

Enterprise

common start

A network of warehouses, plants or yards, an in-house security service with its own VMS and access control, and it all needs to become one picture.

What we build

  • One set of entry rules for every site
  • Integration with your existing VMS and access control
  • Roles: security, logistics and management each see their part
  • Action log and audit of list changes
  • Work under an SLA
Integrations
VMS, access control, ERP (1C), WMS, weighbridge software, internal APIs
Where it runs
Your servers or a closed perimeter: video and logs stay inside the company
Timeline
Guideline: 3+ months, starting with a pilot at one site

Pilot from RUB 500,000. Beyond that we price by task and hours.

Questions

Will the camera read a dirty plate at night?

It depends on lighting, angle and the plate itself. Mud, snow, rain and oncoming headlights all get in the way. So we start with your recordings, including night and winter ones, and tell you honestly what the model will read reliably and where you need extra lighting or a different mounting point.

What if a plate is read wrong?

Every event is stored with a frame. Uncertain reads are flagged and shown to the guard for review instead of being logged silently. We go through the errors and retrain the model.

Will our cameras do?

Often yes, if the camera provides an RTSP stream and sees the plate at a reasonable angle. If not, we will pick a camera for the job and tell you before the estimate.

Can the barrier open automatically?

Technically yes, through your access control or barrier controller. We usually start in hint mode for the guard, though: first we make sure the model reads plates at your gate reliably.

How much does it cost?

Pilot from RUB 500,000. Beyond that, cost depends on the number of gates, cameras and integrations and is estimated by task and hours within 1–2 days. Cameras and the edge box are a separate line if you do not have them.
